What do I need to get started and have fun with friends with a Nintendo Wii?

Hi everyone!

What equipment, games, accessories, etc… do I need to get started and be all set for fun on a Nintendo Wii? I have been trying to do research, but I find all the ‘bits and pieces’ confusing!
